Jibécé Absinthe Distillery Label Print, 11" x 8.5"

SKU: 1957
$12.99

This print is of an original late 19th-century absinthe label print for the brand Jibece made from the distillery of J.B. Chamonard located in Romaneche-Thorins, just north of Lyon in southwest France. The area was once well-known for its absinthe distilleries. It was printed using a 4 color offset printing press, meaning each color was applied separately. This printing method would have been the same as the one used to produce the original labels. The colors in the image are sharp and vibrant. Silver metallic ink was used in the printing process on the wormwood branches and leaves, adding to the authentic look and feel of the print. Using metallic inks creates a shiny, rich finish and an authentic look. The photo above does not feature the metallic ink.

The black line bordering the image above is used only as a reference for what the poster would look like, framed and matted.

  • Each print paper measures 11" (27.9 cm) x 8.5" (21.6 cm).

  • Printed on 100 lb. poster paper.
