Verse-Eau 3 Leg Brouilleur - Single Server Dripper

This stainless steel 3-legged water dripper (or brouilleur) is an exact reproduction of an original late 19th-century Verse-Eau, used as a single server to add water and sugar to absinthe.

• Stainless steel.
• Measures 6" (15.2 cm) tall.
• Measures approximately 3.15" (8 cm) in diameter.
• Wire legs can be carefully bent to accommodate various glass sizes.
• Imported.

A dose of absinthe (usually 1 oz (or 30 ml)) is poured into a glass. The
brouilleur is placed on the rim of the glass and ice cubes are added inside the reservoir. Sugar cubes are placed onto the perforated tray below the reservoir. Cold water is slowly poured into the reservoir and over the ice where it will stream through a small hole in the bottom of the reservoir and onto the sugar cubes below. The sugary water mixture then falls into the absinthe below. The reservoir is not meant to be filled with water. It is important to add the water in small increments so the brouilleur can be removed and the absinthe tasted to determine how much more water or sugar should be added. All absinthes should be made to one's personal preference. Add more water or sugar if you prefer. Remove and enjoy.
