This table features pastis, one of today's most popular aperitifs in France, particularly in the south of France. Pastis came into being in the 1930s and immediately became a popular replacement for the taste of absinthe. Although pastis is a liqueur (sugar already added), does not contain grande wormwood, and is not distilled, it could fill the void for the flavor of anise. Like absinthe, water is added by the drinker to their liking.

The table size is standard for a traditional bistro table that would have been found during France's Belle Époque.

The table can be used indoors or out but should not be left out overnight or in direct elements.
